The Orbea Wild name is already well established.

For years, Wild has been Orbea’s full-power Bosch eMTB platform, built for riders who want serious motor support, proper range and confident off-road capability. The new Wild TR does not move away from that idea. Instead, it reshapes it.

This is a new trail-focused version of the Wild.

Rather than chasing the most aggressive enduro setup in the range, the Wild TR takes the Bosch-powered Wild platform and refines it around everyday trail speed, technical climbing, long rides and balanced handling.

With 150mm of travel, Bosch Performance Line CX power, modern trail geometry and the option of 600Wh or 750Wh batteries, the Wild TR is designed for riders who want full-power eMTB performance without stepping into a longer-travel gravity bike.

The Trail Wild

The Wild TR sits below the more aggressive Wild LT in terms of intent, but that does not make it a soft option.

This is still a full-power eMTB. It still uses a serious Bosch drive system. It still has enough travel and geometry to handle proper technical riding.

The difference is focus.

The Wild LT is built around maximum descending performance and long-travel enduro riding. The Wild TR is built around trail riding. That means a more versatile balance of climbing ability, range, stability and agility.

For a lot of UK riders, that could make the Wild TR the more relevant bike.

Trail centres, natural bridleways, rocky climbs, woodland loops, technical descents and full-day mountain rides are exactly where a 150mm full-power eMTB makes sense.

Bosch Performance Line CX Power

The Wild TR continues the Wild family’s connection with Bosch.

At the heart of the bike is the latest Bosch Performance Line CX drive unit, delivering strong, predictable assistance for steep climbs, technical sections and longer days on the bike.

This is not about introducing Bosch to Wild. Wild has traditionally been Bosch-powered. The important point is that Orbea has taken that familiar full-power Bosch platform and built a new trail version around it.

The motor delivers up to 120Nm of torque and 750W of peak power, giving the Wild TR more than enough support for demanding trail riding. Just as importantly, Bosch is known for smooth, controlled assistance, which suits the Wild TR’s intended use.

On technical climbs, outright power is only part of the story. You need support that arrives predictably, holds traction and lets you manage the bike when the trail gets awkward. That is where the Bosch system makes sense on a trail-focused Wild.

150mm Travel for Real Trail Riding

The Wild TR uses 150mm of travel front and rear.

That puts it firmly into the capable trail eMTB category. It has enough suspension to deal with rough descents, trail centre hits, natural rock sections and repeated impacts, but it avoids the extra weight and slower feel that can come with a longer-travel enduro setup.

Not every rider needs 170mm of travel.

For many riders, 150mm is the sweet spot. It gives enough confidence when the trail points down, while keeping the bike more responsive on climbs, flatter sections and tighter singletrack.

The Wild TR is not trying to be the biggest bike in the range. It is trying to be the most usable full-power Wild for everyday trail riding.

Balanced Geometry

The geometry follows that same thinking.

A 64.5-degree head angle gives the Wild TR confidence on descents, while the steep 78.4-degree seat angle helps keep the rider in a strong climbing position.

That balance matters on a full-power eMTB. A slack front end gives stability when speed increases, but the bike still needs to climb well, especially when the motor encourages you to take on steeper and longer routes.

The Wild TR has been designed to feel planted and composed without losing the agility that makes a trail bike enjoyable.

It is built for riders who want confidence, not a bike that feels like hard work on anything other than steep terrain.

Battery Options: 600Wh, 750Wh and PowerMore

One of the strongest parts of the Wild TR package is the choice of battery options.

Depending on the model and setup, riders can choose between 600Wh and 750Wh batteries. The 600Wh option makes sense for riders who want a lighter-feeling bike and sharper handling for regular trail rides. The 750Wh option is better suited to longer routes, bigger climbs and riders who want maximum built-in range.

The Wild TR is also compatible with the Bosch PowerMore 250Wh Range Extender.

That gives the bike plenty of flexibility. You can set it up for shorter local rides, long natural loops or bigger mountain days depending on how you ride.

Carbon and Hydro Aluminium Models

The Orbea Wild TR range is available in both Carbon and Hydro aluminium models.

The Carbon models use Orbea’s OMR carbon frame and are aimed at riders who want the lightest, sharpest and most premium version of the platform. These models are likely to appeal to riders who value weight saving, higher-end suspension and top-level finishing kit.

The Hydro aluminium models bring the same core Wild TR character into a more accessible and durable chassis. They keep the focus on Bosch full-power support, 150mm travel and trail capability, but at a more practical price point.

That gives the Wild TR range a broad spread. Riders can choose the higher-performance carbon option or the more value-focused aluminium route, without losing the key idea behind the bike.

Wild TR vs Wild LT

The Wild TR should not be confused with the Wild LT.

The Wild LT is Orbea’s more aggressive, long-travel eMTB. It is aimed at riders who want maximum descending performance, enduro capability and a more gravity-focused setup.

The Wild TR is the trail version of Wild.

It keeps the full-power support and Bosch reliability that Wild has been known for, but packages it into a more versatile 150mm platform. It is designed for riders who want range, support, technical capability and balanced handling rather than the most extreme descending bike in the line-up.

In simple terms:

• Wild TR is the trail bike.

• Wild LT is the long-travel gravity bike.

Who Is the Orbea Wild TR For?

The Orbea Wild TR is for riders who want one full-power eMTB to cover a wide mix of riding.

It is for riders who want more support and range than a lightweight eMTB, but who do not necessarily need a full enduro machine. It is for technical climbs, trail centres, natural UK riding, woodland loops, rocky descents and long days where battery life and handling both matter.

If you want a Bosch-powered Orbea eMTB with 150mm travel, modern trail geometry and the choice of carbon or aluminium builds, the Wild TR is the new bike in the range to look at.

Final Thoughts

The Orbea Wild TR 2027 is not a replacement for the Wild LT, and it is not Bosch suddenly arriving on the Wild platform.

It is a new trail-focused version of a bike family that has already built its reputation around full-power Bosch performance.

That is what makes it interesting.

The Wild TR takes the familiar strengths of the Wild name, power, range, stability and capability and reshapes them into a more versatile trail package. For riders who want a serious full-power eMTB that can climb hard, descend confidently and still feel manageable on everyday trails, the Wild TR could be one of the most useful bikes in Orbea’s 2027 range.
