Santa Cruz V10

The eighth-generation Santa Cruz V10 2027 is a World Cup-proven downhill mountain bike developed for maximum speed, control and durability. Its 200mm downhill fork, 208mm of VPP rear travel and Carbon CC frame are designed for downhill racing, uplift days and repeated bike-park laps.

The V10 is highly adjustable, allowing riders to alter reach, rear-centre length, bottom-bracket height and head angle. It is offered in both MX and 29-inch formats across the range, providing options for riders who prioritise agility or maximum rollover and stability.

• 200mm front and 208mm rear travel: The long-travel chassis is designed for high speeds, large impacts and rough downhill tracks.
• VPP suspension: Santa Cruz's Virtual Pivot Point system is tuned specifically for downhill performance, with support, control and adjustability prioritised.
• Carbon CC frame: Every 2027 V10 option uses Santa Cruz's premium carbon construction for a strong, stiff and race-ready chassis.
• MX and 29-inch formats: The V10 range accommodates mixed or full 29-inch wheel configurations, depending on the selected size and setup.
• Rear-axle flip chip: Three positions adjust the rear centre by +5mm, 0mm or -5mm to change weight balance and handling.
• Reach-adjust headset cups: Three settings alter reach by -8mm, 0mm or +8mm to refine rider fit.
• Lower-link flip chip: The bottom-bracket height and head angle can be adjusted to suit different tracks and rider preferences.
• Lifetime support: The frame includes Santa Cruz's lifetime frame warranty and free replacement pivot bearings for the original owner, subject to the manufacturer's terms.

The confirmed UK V10 2027 range includes two complete bikes and a frame-only option. All three use the same Carbon CC frame, 200/208mm VPP platform and adjustable geometry.

• V10 DH S: RockShox BoXXer Select fork, RockShox Vivid Select+ Coil rear shock and SRAM Maven Bronze brakes.
• V10 DH X01: FOX 40 Factory fork, FOX DHX2 Factory rear shock and SRAM Maven Silver brakes.
• V10 Carbon CC Frame: Carbon CC frame supplied with a FOX DHX2 Factory coil shock for riders planning a custom downhill build.

The V10 range is offered in MX and 29-inch formats. An MX setup combines a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel for agile cornering, extra rider clearance and a more responsive feel. A full 29-inch setup prioritises rollover, momentum and stability at high speed.

Yes. The V10 is designed for steep, rough and technical downhill terrain, making it well suited to UK downhill race tracks, uplift venues and bike parks. Its long-travel suspension and adjustable geometry allow the bike to be tuned for wet roots, rocks, compressions, jumps and high-speed sections.

It is a dedicated downhill bike and is not designed for conventional trail climbing. Riders who need to pedal to the top should consider an enduro bike such as the Nomad or Megatower.

The V10 is a dedicated downhill bike with a dual-crown fork, 200/208mm travel and downhill-specific geometry. It offers the greatest stability and suspension performance for racing and uplift riding, but it is not intended for climbing.

The Nomad and Megatower are enduro bikes that retain strong descending capability while allowing riders to pedal between trails and climb under their own power. Choose the V10 when downhill performance is the sole priority; choose an enduro bike when the ride also includes significant climbing or varied terrain.

Choose the V10 DH S if you want the complete V10 platform with dependable RockShox suspension and Maven Bronze brakes. Choose the V10 DH X01 if you want the premium FOX Factory suspension package and Maven Silver brakes.

The V10 Carbon CC Frame is the best option if you already own suitable downhill components or want to select your own fork, drivetrain, brakes, wheels and cockpit. It includes a FOX DHX2 Factory coil shock.

• Suspension: Follow the fork and shock manufacturer's service intervals, and clean the stanchions and seals after wet or muddy rides.
• Pivots and bearings: Check pivot hardware for correct torque and inspect bearings regularly, particularly after heavy bike-park or race use.
• Wheels and tyres: Inspect rims, spokes, tyre casings and pressures before riding because downhill terrain places high loads on the wheelset.
• Brakes: Check pad wear, rotor condition and lever feel frequently to maintain consistent braking performance.
• Drivetrain: Clean and lubricate the chain regularly to reduce wear in gritty UK conditions.
• Cleaning: Avoid directing high-pressure water at bearings, suspension seals and the headset.
