What type of riding is the Cube Stereo 2027 designed for?

 

The Cube Stereo 2027 is a versatile full-suspension trail bike designed for a wide range of mountain riding, from flowing singletrack and technical trails to longer mountain days and demanding descents. The range combines efficient climbing with capable suspension and modern trail geometry, making it suited to riders looking for a bike that can handle varied terrain without being limited to one style of riding.

The 2027 range includes both the Stereo HPC and higher-spec Stereo C:62 models, giving riders different frame and component options depending on their priorities and budget.

What is the difference between the Cube Stereo HPC and Stereo C:62?

 

The Cube Stereo HPC and Stereo C:62 share the same core trail-focused concept and 150mm front and 145mm rear suspension platform, but they use different carbon frame constructions and component specifications.

The Stereo HPC uses a High Performance Carbon front triangle with an aluminium rear triangle, while the Stereo C:62 uses Cube's C:62 carbon frame construction. Both feature modern trail geometry, an angle-adjustable headset, internal or semi-internal cable routing and integrated down tube storage, but the C:62 models are positioned higher in the range with higher-spec components.

What is the difference between the Cube Stereo HPC Race and Stereo HPC TM?

 

The Cube Stereo HPC Race and Stereo HPC TM use the same High Performance Carbon front triangle, aluminium rear triangle and 150mm front and 145mm rear suspension platform, but their component specifications are different.

The Stereo HPC Race is the more accessible option, using a RockShox Psylo Silver RC fork, Deluxe Select+ RT shock, Shimano XT 1x12 drivetrain and Magura Louise brakes. The Stereo HPC TM receives a higher-spec Fox 36 Float Performance Elite Grip X fork and Float X Performance Elite shock, along with SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission gears, SRAM Maven Base brakes and more aggressive trail tyres.

Both are designed for trail riding, with the TM offering a more performance-focused component package for riders who regularly ride tougher and more demanding terrain.

What is the difference between the Cube Stereo C:62 Super TM and SLT?

 

Both the Cube Stereo C:62 Super TM and Stereo C:62 SLT use the same C:62 carbon frame and 150mm front and 145mm rear suspension platform, but they have different component packages.

The Super TM uses RockShox Lyrik Ultimate and Vivid Ultimate suspension, SRAM X0 Eagle AXS Transmission shifting and SRAM Maven Silver brakes. The SLT sits at the top of the range and upgrades to Fox 36 Float Factory GRIPX2 and Fox Float X Factory suspension, Shimano XTR Di2 shifting and Shimano XTR hydraulic disc brakes.

The choice between them therefore comes down primarily to the level of component specification and the type of performance and equipment you are looking for.

How much suspension travel does the Cube Stereo 2027 have?

 

The Cube Stereo 2027 has 150mm of front suspension travel and 145mm of rear-wheel travel. This combination is designed to provide enough suspension capacity for technical trails and demanding descents while retaining the efficiency and responsiveness expected from a modern trail bike.

The suspension specification is shared across the Stereo HPC and Stereo C:62 platforms, although the individual fork and shock models vary between the different builds.

Can I adjust the geometry and setup of the Cube Stereo 2027?

 

Yes. The Cube Stereo 2027 features an angle-adjustable headset, allowing the head angle to be changed by 0.6 degrees. This gives riders the option of running a slightly slacker setup for increased stability or a steeper setup for a more agile steering feel.

The new Stereo also features a straight seat tube designed to allow longer dropper posts with deeper insertion, while the frame includes integrated down tube storage and a modular top tube mount for compatible devices. These features give riders additional flexibility when setting the bike up for their riding and carrying the equipment they need on the trail.
