The Santa Cruz Bullit 2027 is a full-power, long-travel electric mountain bike built for steep, rough and demanding terrain. Its 170mm front and rear travel, downhill-inspired geometry and mixed-wheel setup give it the stability and control of a gravity bike, while the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor provides powerful assistance for the ride back to the top.

Unlike earlier Bullit generations that used VPP suspension, the current model uses a four-bar suspension platform. This layout is designed to deliver consistent traction, support and braking performance across technical climbs and fast descents.

The 2027 Santa Cruz Bullit retains the proven 170mm four-bar chassis, Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor, 600Wh battery and MX wheel format, but introduces an updated model range with new drivetrains, suspension packages and wheel options.

The 2027 range includes Carbon C and lighter Carbon CC builds. The flagship Carbon CC models also use updated internal routing that allows compatible electronic rear derailleurs to draw power from the bike's main battery. This removes the need to charge a separate derailleur battery.

• Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor: The latest Bosch software update provides up to 120Nm of torque, 750W peak power and up to 600% assistance. Assistance settings can be adjusted through the Bosch eBike Flow app.
• 600Wh Bosch PowerTube battery: The integrated battery keeps weight low and central. The Bullit is also compatible with the optional Bosch PowerMore 250Wh range extender.
• 170mm front and rear travel: Long-travel forks and a four-bar rear suspension platform provide control and support on rough enduro and downhill terrain.

The Bullit is designed for aggressive enduro, technical descents, bike-park laps and big-mountain riding. Its 170mm travel, strong components and gravity-focused geometry make it best suited to riders who prioritise descending performance but still want full-power motor assistance for steep climbs and repeated runs.

Riders looking for a more agile trail-focused Santa Cruz e-MTB may prefer the Vala, while those who want a lighter and less powerful system may want to consider the Heckler SL.

The Santa Cruz Bullit 2027 uses an integrated 600Wh Bosch PowerTube battery. It is also compatible with the optional 250Wh Bosch PowerMore range extender, increasing total capacity to 850Wh for longer rides.

Actual range depends on rider weight, assistance mode, elevation, terrain, weather, tyre choice and riding style. Bosch's eBike Flow app can be used to monitor battery information and customise motor support.
