Cube Range Review 2027 - latest Avinox & Bosch E-bikes

The new CUBE 2027 bike range was officially unveiled on 12 August 2026, bringing some of the biggest changes we have seen from the German brand in recent years. There are completely redesigned mountain bikes, more choice across the Stereo Hybrid eMTB family and, for the first time, two CUBE electric mountain bikes powered by the Avinox M2S system.

For UK trail riders, the main talking points are the new Avinox-powered CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC EXC 800 and Super TM 800. They sit alongside a much broader Bosch-powered Stereo Hybrid range rather than replacing it, giving riders a genuine choice of motor system within one of CUBE's most popular eMTB platforms.

Away from electric bikes, CUBE has also overhauled its analogue mountain bike range. The Stereo is now a focused 150mm/145mm trail bike, the Fritzz name returns on an entirely new 170mm high-pivot enduro platform, and the TWO15 downhill bike has been redesigned with 200mm of travel and far more scope for adjustment.

CUBE and Avinox: A major new option for 2027

CUBE has built much of its electric mountain bike reputation around Bosch, and Bosch remains a major part of the 2027 line-up. The difference this year is that riders now have another option.

The new CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC EXC 800 and Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC Super TM 800 use the Avinox M2S drive system. Both combine the compact motor with a removable 800Wh battery, a curved DP100 top tube display and left and right BC100 handlebar controllers.

Key Avinox M2S figures on the CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 include:

- Up to 130Nm of torque in regular use
- Up to 150Nm in Boost mode
- Up to 1,500W peak power

Those are serious numbers, but power alone does not tell the full story. The appeal of the system is the combination of high output, compact integration and controllable support. On steep technical climbs, the extra torque should help riders hold momentum over roots, rocks and awkward steps. On more natural trails, the system is designed to respond closely to rider input rather than simply delivering an uncontrolled surge of power.

The removable battery is another important detail. It allows the battery to be charged either in or out of the bike and makes storage or transport more practical for riders who cannot charge where the bike is kept.

Both Avinox models use the familiar Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC chassis. This combines a C:62 carbon front triangle with an aluminium rear end, 150mm of fork travel and 140mm at the rear. An adjustable headset allows the head angle to be altered by 0.6 degrees, while a UDH dropout, integrated cable routing, direct-mount chain guide and X-Connect-ready light interface add useful modern details.

Bosch remains a major part of the CUBE Stereo Hybrid range

The arrival of Avinox does not mean CUBE has moved away from Bosch. The wider CUBE Stereo Hybrid 2027 range continues to offer a large choice of Bosch-powered builds, including the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 and longer-travel Stereo Hybrid ONE77.

Within the carbon-front-triangle ONE44 HPC range, Bosch-powered models extend from accessible Pro and Race builds through SLX, SLX Evo, TM, Actionteam and SLT specifications. Depending on the model, riders can choose from the Bosch Performance Line CX or flagship CX-R drive unit, with an 800Wh PowerTube battery across the main range.

That makes the 2027 Stereo Hybrid family unusually broad. Riders who already trust the Bosch ecosystem can stay with it, while those interested in the high output, integrated controls and fast-charging capability of Avinox now have two clear alternatives.

CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE77 2027: Bosch-powered enduro capability

For riders who need more travel than the ONE44, the CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE77 2027 remains the more gravity-focused eMTB.

It combines a Bosch drive system and 800Wh battery with a mixed-wheel setup and long-travel suspension. The 29in front wheel is intended to maintain confidence over rough ground, while the 27.5in rear helps keep the bike manoeuvrable through steeper turns and technical sections.

With up to 170mm of suspension travel, adjustable geometry and builds ranging from Race through SLX, TM, Actionteam and SLT, the ONE77 is the better fit for riders whose normal routes include enduro tracks, bike parks and consistently rough terrain. The ONE44 remains the more versatile all-round trail platform, while the ONE77 prioritises stability and descending composure.

CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 2027: The versatile trail all-rounder

The CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 2027 is the more versatile trail-focused option within CUBE’s full-suspension eMTB range.

Combining 150mm of front suspension with 140mm at the rear, the ONE44 balances technical descending ability with the efficiency and agility needed for longer rides. Small frames use 27.5in wheels, while medium, large and extra-large sizes roll on 29in wheels for improved momentum and confidence across rough ground.

For 2027, the range includes both Bosch and Avinox-powered models, giving riders more choice over motor performance, specification and price. From accessible Pro and Race builds through to the EXC, TM, Actionteam, Super TM and SLT models, the ONE44 covers everything from trail-centre riding and natural singletrack to bigger days in the mountains. Compared with the longer-travel ONE77, it is the better all-rounder for riders who value climbing ability, responsive handling and everyday versatility.

CUBE Reaction Hybrid 2027: Versatile Bosch-powered hardtails

The CUBE Reaction Hybrid 2027 remains the hardtail option for riders who want electric assistance without the additional weight and complexity of rear suspension.

The range combines Bosch power with either a 720Wh or 800Wh battery, depending on the model. Front suspension provides additional comfort and control across forest tracks, bridleways and lighter off-road terrain, while the rigid rear end creates a direct and efficient feel when climbing or covering longer distances.

With Performance, ONE, Pro, Race, SLX and SLT builds, plus Fully Equipped versions with practical accessories, the Reaction Hybrid range covers everything from leisure riding and commuting to more demanding off-road adventures. Compared with the full-suspension Stereo Hybrid, it is the better choice for riders who prioritise simplicity, efficiency and everyday versatility.

Our first verdict on the CUBE 2027 range

The CUBE 2027 range is not built around a single headline bike. It is a wide update that gives riders more choice at almost every level.

For eMTB riders, the Avinox-powered Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC EXC 800 and Super TM 800 are the biggest news. The EXC stands out for how much motor, battery and frame technology it offers at £4,499. The Super TM takes the same foundation and adds the high-end suspension, electronic drivetrain, powerful brakes, fast charger and tougher rolling kit needed for more aggressive riding.

Bosch remains central to the wider Stereo Hybrid range, which is important. Rather than forcing every rider towards one system, CUBE is allowing customers to choose the motor and build that best match their priorities.
