Marin Quake 2026 Downhill Mountain Bike

The Marin Quake 2026 is a downhill and freeride mountain bike built for bike park laps, high-speed tracks and the biggest features. Its aggressive frame shape is finished in a striking Black Purple Red colourway, fading from metallic black through vivid purple and into deep red across the rear triangle.

Downhill Platform

Built around a Series 4 aluminium frame, the Quake delivers 180mm of rear-wheel travel through Marin’s MultiTrac 2 suspension platform. The system combines small-bump sensitivity with the support and big-hit control needed for rough downhill tracks, heavy landings and repeated park laps. Downtube and shuttle guards provide additional protection in demanding riding environments.

Adjustable geometry allows the bottom bracket height and chainstay length to be changed to suit different tracks and riding styles. The Quake comes with a mixed-wheel setup, pairing a 29in front wheel with a more agile 27.5in rear, but the frame can also accommodate a full 29in configuration. This gives riders the choice between increased manoeuvrability or maximum rollover and stability. Marin Bikes

A 200mm RockShox BoXXer fork is paired with a custom-tuned RockShox Vivid Coil Ultimate DH rear shock. Size-specific spring rates help provide balanced suspension performance across the range, while the coil shock offers consistent control through long, rough descents and repeated heavy impacts.

Key Components & Finishing Kit

SRAM Maven Silver four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide the stopping power needed to control the Quake on steep, fast and technical descents. Paired with large 200mm HSC rotors front and rear, they deliver strong braking performance, consistent modulation and improved heat management throughout long downhill runs.

SRAM GX DH 7-speed gearing provides a compact, gravity-specific drivetrain designed for fast shifts without unnecessary range. SRAM Maven Silver four-piston brakes and 200mm rotors deliver the stopping power required for steep tracks and high-speed riding.

Schwalbe Magic Mary Gravity Pro radial tyres complete the mixed-wheel setup. An Ultra Soft compound is used at the front for maximum grip and confidence, while the Soft rear compound balances traction with rolling speed and durability.
