Nukeproof Reactor 290 Pro... on the trails! - MTB Monster

Posted by Paul Hoyle on 4th Jul 2022

The all new Reactor for 2022 although only having 130 mm of travel has the attitude of a far longer travel bike. A 65 degree head angle and 74.6° degree seat angle (Rail mode) ensure the Reactor remains aggressive when rolling through terrain. Having immediately set the Reactor into Rail mode, my first hand experience was incredibly positive regarding climbing ability, the early-stroke sensitivity planted the Maxxis Dissector firmly on the ground climbing tricky terrain with relative ease. Whilst on the way back down the Reactor encourages you to use all of the 130 mm of travel in areas it likely shouldn't be. This performance is boosted by a longer travel 150 mm Lyric fork, bumped up from 140 mm on the previous year's model.

Having only ridden the pro model I can say with absolute confidence the Comp will perform with comparable results. On account of Nukeproof ensuring the suspension kinematics are not sacrificed even on the entry level option.
