There is nothing quite like a face full of grit to ruin a perfectly good descent. Front mudguards are the simplest way to keep your vision clear and your riding gear (mostly) clean when the trails get soft. They bolt or strap directly onto your fork arch, catching the spray before it even leaves the tyre. Beyond just keeping mud out of your eyes, they also do a massive favor for your fork seals by shielding them from the constant pelt of sand and water.
