The Santa Cruz Nomad 7 2027 is a long-travel carbon enduro mountain bike built for steep descents, bike-park laps, enduro racing and demanding mountain terrain. Its 170mm front and rear travel, lower-link VPP suspension and mixed-wheel setup provide downhill stability without removing the pedalling ability needed for climbs and full days in the hills.

Every 2027 Nomad uses Santa Cruz's premium Carbon CC frame. The revised frame is lighter and more compliant than the previous generation, while updated geometry and suspension kinematics improve traction, braking control and comfort on rough descents.

The seventh-generation Santa Cruz Nomad retains the proven 170mm VPP platform and MX wheels but introduces several important frame, geometry and suspension updates.

• Lighter Carbon CC frame: The revised carbon lay-up and slimmer down tube reduce frame weight by approximately 86g while adding compliance to help reduce fatigue on long, rough descents.
• Revised geometry: The head angle is now 63.6 degrees in High and 63.3 degrees in Low, increasing confidence on steep and high-speed terrain.
• Updated VPP kinematics: Reduced anti-rise helps the suspension remain more active under braking, while reduced anti-squat improves traction, pedalling performance and control over square-edge impacts.
• Carbon CC for every model: The complete-bike range and frameset now use the same top-level Carbon CC frame construction.
• Improved Glovebox storage: The updated Glovebox V2 uses a stronger, quieter latch and improved sealing to keep tools and ride essentials secure inside the down tube.
• Updated frame details: The Nomad 7 adds a top-tube accessory mount and a simplified two-bolt bash-guard mount with a compact upper chain guide.

The Nomad 7 is designed for aggressive enduro riding, steep natural trails, bike-park laps, jumps and high-speed technical descents. Its 170mm travel and MX wheels make it more gravity-focused than the Bronson or Hightower, but the VPP suspension and modern climbing position mean it can still be pedalled to the top.

Riders who want similar descending capability with full-power motor assistance may prefer the Santa Cruz Bullit. Those looking for a lighter, more versatile trail bike may be better suited to the Bronson or Hightower.

Choose the Nomad 7 CC 90 if you prefer simple mechanical shifting, an adjustable air shock and a durable specification at the most accessible complete-bike price. The CC XT Di2 suits riders who want Shimano electronic shifting and the planted feel of FOX Factory coil suspension. The CC X0 AXS is the premium SRAM build, adding wireless X0 AXS shifting and lighter Reserve carbon wheels.

The Nomad 7 CC Frameset is the best option if you already own suitable components or want to create a completely custom build.
