All NEW Slash goes high-pivot for hard ripping!
Get ready to redefine what's possible in the world of long-travel mountain biking because the Slash is here to set an exhilarating new standard. This trail-blazing beast boasts an awe-inspiring 170 mm of travel in both the front and rear, making it an absolute force to be reckoned with. But that's just the beginning – brace yourself for a ride that's not just aggressive but fully customizable to suit your every desire.
Now, let's dive into what makes the Slash truly exceptional. Its groundbreaking high-pivot suspension layout introduces a rearward axle path that is nothing short of revolutionary. This ingenious design delivers an unmatched level of smoothness in the suspension, allowing you to maintain precious forward momentum and grip that feels like it's glued to even the most punishing trails. Picture yourself effortlessly devouring brutal descents with a grin on your face, knowing that the Slash has your back.
But here's the real kicker – while many bikes equipped with high-pivot suspension tend to compromise pedaling efficiency, the Slash defies the odds. Its meticulously crafted geometry and axle path combine to provide you with climb-gripping traction that feels like it's been tailor-made for your ascent needs. Say goodbye to the days of destroying your legs on the way back up the mountain; the Slash ensures you have the energy and confidence to hammer back to the top with ease.
High-pivot suspension
The Slash's high main pivot
allows the axle to move rearward as the suspension compresses, so the back wheel moves with the force from bumps and gets out of the way faster. On the trail, it feels ultra-smooth while maintaining more momentum with insane traction.
Curb the kickback
The Slash's oversized upper idler not only eliminates the pedal kickback caused by high pivot, but its size and position also give you just the right amount of anti-squat for efficient pedalling. The lower idler takes chain tension off the derailleur so you get smoother shifting and suspension performance.
Mixed wheel size
You get a 29" front wheel for monster truckin' over stuff, with a smaller 27.5" wheel out back for getting rowdy. Want full 29er speed? Just swap the lower shock mount (sold separately) to lower BB height for running a faster wheel out back.
Improved internal storage
The Slash's storage door is bigger, easier to use and the plastic parts are all made from recycled materials.
Adjust the suss for full send
Adjust the leverage rate with just a flip of a chip. Ride it in the Less progressive setting for a plusher feel perfect for rugged trails with square-edge bumps. Flip it to More progressive when you're hitting big features and don’t want to bottom-out, or when you want to run a coil shock.
Slack or steep, the choice is yours
Install angle-adjust headset cups (sold separately) to tweak the head tube angle a degree steeper or slacker to your liking – all without impacting your bottom bracket height.
Size-specific chainstays
Size-specific chainstays provide balanced handling to keep the ride nimble for smaller riders and improve front wheel traction on climbs for taller riders.
Quiet and protected
A meticulously engineered chainstay guard reduces chain movement for a blissfully quiet ride while the removable downtube guards fend off rock strikes.
