A new brand, a serious platform, and one of the most powerful motor systems we’ve seen so far.

We recently sat down with Ben, who represents the UK distributor for Velduro Bikes, to get a proper understanding of where the brand has come from, what it stands for, and how the Rogue platform fits into the current eMTB landscape.

Who are Velduro?

Velduro is a New Zealand-based brand, designed and tested in an environment that naturally pushes bikes to their limits.

Think:

• Steep terrain
• High-speed descents
• Rough, root-heavy trails

It’s not a brand trying to adapt trail bikes into something more aggressive.

The focus from the start has been:

Build a platform that can handle serious riding, and match it to a motor system that actually supports that.

It’s also a new brand, which means:

• No legacy constraints
• No watered-down design decisions
• Development driven by riders and testing, not marketing

With riders like Brook Macdonald involved in testing, the platform has already been pushed well beyond typical trail use.

The Velduro Rogue | What Is It?

The Rogue is a hard enduro eMTB platform, designed to be built around the rider.

Key details:

• Up to 172mm rear travel
• Up to 180mm fork compatibility
• Built specifically around the Avinox system
• Designed for aggressive descending and high-speed riding

It’s not marketed as a downhill bike.

But realistically: It’s capable of far more than standard trail riding.

Built Around the Avinox M2S Motor

At the centre of the Rogue platform is the new Avinox M2S motor.

What we know so far:

150Nm torque
• Strong support across both climbing and flatter terrain
• Future-facing system with additional features still being rolled out

One of the more interesting developments:

• Potential integration with heart rate monitoring
• Assistance that adapts to rider effort zones

There’s clearly more to come, but even now:

The torque alone places it firmly in full-power, aggressive eMTB territory.

Suspension & Ride Feel | Mid-Pivot + iTrack System

The Rogue uses a mid-pivot suspension system, developed with iTrack.

On trail, this translates to:

Rearward axle path
        Better tracking through rough terrain
        Reduced pedal kickback
Dynamic chainstay behaviour
        Shorter feel when cornering
Longer, more stable feel when riding at speed

So you get a bike that:

• Corners tighter than expected
• But still holds a line like a downhill bike when things open up

That balance is difficult to achieve, and it’s one of the key characteristics of the Rogue.

Flip Chip & Suspension Setup

Velduro have kept the setup simple and usable:

Standard setting
       Designed around air shocks
       Progressive enough for most riders
Progressive setting
       Better suited to coil shocks
Adds support for harder, more aggressive riding

The bike is also paired with a custom-tuned Fox X2, rather than a generic off-the-shelf tune.

Frame-Only Approach | A Different Way to Buy

One of the more interesting aspects of the Rogue platform is the option to buy it as a frame-only setup.

That gives riders the ability to:

• Reuse components from an existing bike
• Upgrade to a modern motor system
• Build something tailored without starting from zero

With bike prices continuing to rise, this approach makes a lot of sense.

Velduro Rogue Range & Build Options

The Rogue platform is available in a range of configurations, from frame-only through to complete builds and custom options.

Frame-Only Options

Velduro Rogue Frame Only (No Shock)
     • £4,500

     • Ideal for full custom builds or component transfers

Velduro Rogue Frame Only inc Fox X2 Shock
     • £5,000
     • Includes a custom-tuned Fox X2, developed for the platform

Complete Bike Options

Velduro Rogue X (2027)
     • £6,750
     • Strong value entry point
     • Solid base for future upgrades

Velduro Rogue R (2027)
     • £9,000
     • Higher-end build
     • Designed for riders wanting performance out of the box

Both the Velduro Rogue X and Rogue R come as complete bikes, making them a straightforward, no-fuss option for riders who want a fully assembled, trail-ready setup without needing to source parts separately.

MTB Monster Custom Builds

We’ve also developed a range of MTB Monster-spec builds to sit between standard models and full custom:

Velduro Rogue AXS MONSTER Build
     • £7,999
     • Wireless drivetrain setup
     • Clean, modern spec

Velduro Rogue DI2 MONSTER Build
     • £10,999
     • Premium electronic drivetrain
     • Higher-end components throughout

These builds create a strong middle ground:

     • More tailored than stock bikes, without going fully custom
     • Based on real-world feedback from both customers and            our in-house team
     • Designed as proven alternative specs that we know work          well on this platform

The DI2 build sits right at the top end:

A true dream build for riders looking for the highest level of performance without compromise

Fully Custom Options

Beyond the set builds, you can also:

     • Build the bike yourself from a frame
     • Or choose your specification from a curated list of proven options

Rather than starting from scratch, these options have been:

     • Pre-selected and cross-referenced by both the MTB Monster mechanics team and Velduro
     • Checked for compatibility, performance, and real-world reliability
     • Built to avoid the usual trial-and-error that comes with custom builds

So instead of having to second guess:

     • Fitment
     • Compatibility
     • Or whether parts will actually work well together

You’re effectively choosing from:

A range of combinations that have already been validated

This gives you:

     • The flexibility of a custom build
     • Without the risk of getting it wrong

Where the Rogue Fits

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all eMTB.

It suits riders who:

     • Ride hard and push their limits
     • Want a bike that stays composed at speed
     • Value stability and strength over lightweight feel

But because of the flexibility in builds:

     • It can still be configured for trail centres
     • Or built into a much more aggressive enduro setup

First Impressions

The Rogue feels like:

     • A platform built with intent
     • Properly matched to the motor system
     • Focused on performance rather than compromise

And importantly:

It doesn’t rely on marketing to justify itself. The design direction is clear.

Availability, Finance & Pre-Order

The Velduro Rogue range is available now through MTB Monster, including:

     • Complete builds
     • Frame-only options
     • Custom configurations

We also offer:

     • Cycle to Work schemes available
     • 0% finance up to 24 months (subject to terms and conditions)
     • Pre-order options on selected builds

Final Thoughts

That’s what makes the Rogue interesting.

It’s a highly capable, desirable, boutique platform that’s set to turn heads, but more importantly, it delivers where it matters. However you choose to build it, the Rogue is an aggressive enduro eMTB designed to be pushed hard, and one that encourages you to ride at your highest level.
