The new Amflow Avinox PX and PR range has landed for 2026, and this is one a lot of riders have been waiting on.

The first generation didn’t just get attention for the sake of it.

It genuinely changed expectations, particularly around how quickly power comes in and how well the bike holds speed on climbs.

This new range builds directly on that.

More refinement.
 More control.
And in the case of the PR models, a clear step forward in motor performance.

PX vs PR – what’s changed

Let’s keep this simple:

PR models → run the new Avinox M2S motor, delivering up to 150Nm in Boost mode

PX models → continue with the original Avinox system, now positioned at a new lower price point, starting from around £4,000 for a carbon frame with a removable battery

So whether you want the latest motor performance or a more accessible entry into the platform, both sides of the range now make a lot more sense.

The motor – still the standout

When Avinox first landed, even riders already used to the power delivery of established eMTB systems were blown away by the pickup speed and the way the bike continues to hold speed on climbs.

That’s what made it feel different.

Not just power on paper, but how quickly it reacts and how consistently it delivers support.

With the new M2S motor, that’s been pushed further again.

On paper:

Up to 1500W peak output
Up to 150Nm peak torque
Reduced pedalling resistance

But what matters is how it feels on the trail.

Testing the motor – yes, it’s faster than before

Just over a month ago, I spent a full day on the M2S motor, and it will come as no surprise that this platform builds on an already extremely popular system and pushes it further.

The biggest step forward is in:

- Pickup speed
- Immediate response under load
- How it maintains speed once you’re up to pace

You can run repeated laps where you’re:

- Winching up climbs quickly
- Dropping straight back in
- And going again

…and the bike just keeps delivering without feeling strained.

What really ties it together is the overall system weight.

Because the motor and battery are relatively light, the bike feels really agile and easy to move around. It’s a long way from the heavy, cumbersome eMTBs of a few years ago, and much closer in feel to an analogue bike when it comes to manoeuvring.

It still feels playful, and that’s where it really stands out.

Generation One Amflow – personal experience

I’ve ridden hundreds of miles on the previous Amflow platform across:

- Peak District
- Lake District
- Tweed Valley
- Wales

So this isn’t based on a quick spin.

And when I’m often asked to summarise the ride characteristics, I’d describe it as hugely powerful on the climbs, and poppy and incredibly easy to manoeuvre on descents, whether that’s on trail centres, flowing singletrack or mixed terrain.

Like any bike, if you start pushing it into areas it’s not designed for, such as very rough and steep enduro-style tracks, it can begin to feel slightly underbiked compared to longer travel platforms.

But that’s not where this bike is meant to sit, and across the vast bulk of UK off-road riding, it comfortably excels.

Amflow Witchcraft

That’s where you really start to notice what the bike does differently.

One of the standout traits of the Amflow platform is what I’d call its one-pedal-stroke witchcraft.

Whether you’re out front taking the lead and getting chased down a track, or you’re the one chasing a mate, the moment you get a chance to put in one or two pedal strokes between corners on a short straight…

The bike just fires straight back up to speed.

You either:

- Pull away instantly
- Or close the gap in no time at all

There’s no lag, no build-up.

It’s immediate.

And over the course of a full run, that ability to regain speed so quickly doesn’t just feel fast — it helps you maintain and push your overall pace far more easily…

It’s a wicked piece of witchcraft.

Pushing the limits

As mentioned earlier, these aren’t positioned as gravity-specific eMTBs, but it’s still useful to see how far they can be pushed.

Some Amflow riders have already documented footage taking the bikes well beyond typical trail riding.

Riders like Tommy C Hype have shown what’s possible in the previous generation, pushing them hard in  environments you wouldn’t necessarily expect them to excel in.

So while it’s not designed purely for that style of riding…

It’s clearly capable of more than most people expect.

The overall package

The overall package of the Amflow is built around a solid, do-it-all 160mm platform that strikes a strong balance between capability and usability.

It combines:

- Headline torque figures
- A large internal 700 Wh battery
- And the potential for extended range

…into a bike that’s just as comfortable on big days out as it is on shorter, faster laps.

With planned range extender options, total capacity could reach up to 1300Wh, opening the door for epic exploration rides, long days in the hills, or repeated laps on your favourite tracks.

The versatility of the 160mm platform means it comfortably covers the vast bulk of UK riding.

You can:

Turn the power up for quick, high-intensity laps
Or dial it back into Eco and spend hours in the saddle

…and that flexibility is what makes it such a strong all-rounder.

Range extender (expected)

Amflow are looking to provide expanded range extender options in the near future.

- 600Wh compatibility already exists on L / XL / XXL frames
- A 400Wh option is expected for medium sizes

This could take total capacity from 700Wh up to a potential 1300Wh setup.

As of launch, no confirmed timelines have been provided, but expanded range options are expected in the near future as production schedules become clearer.

Integrated light (top PX models)

Top-end PX models include a fully integrated light system:

Controlled from the bar
Powered by the main battery
No separate charging
Clean, simple, and genuinely useful.
