Welcome to a detailed look into the current Cube Mountain Bikes Range. By delving into the details, we will reveal what makes the Cube Bikes range one of the best in the market. With an extensive portfolio of bikes, Cube are the largest manufacture of bikes in Europe with their models ranging from downhill bikes to ultra-light Cross-Country bikes.
What is the Key Technology behind the latest models?
While many aspects of a Cube Bike make them unique, many standout features can be found right across the range such as the superlight carbon technology and extensive testing in the lab.
C:62 Carbon Technology
Cube's C:62 is all about high performance carbon technology, less resin and a high fibre content of 62%. Advanced Twin Mould layup minimises overlaps by accurately fitting individual carbon layers during the building process, the result is a frame with no excess weight. By using high modulus fibres, the C:62 frame is incredibly stiff and is less sensitive to impacts and better able to withstand external forces.
Testing Lab |
Bumps, hard braking and the occasional crash put stresses on bikes that’s why, to ensure high quality, Cube test every component exhaustively. Cube's engineers test various parameters in their in-house labs to guarantee long term reliability. Complete bikes are tested on a roller rig with weights added to the saddle, handlebars and pedals to simulate a rider. In total, each test bike covers hundreds of miles and has to overcome 1.5 million obstacles. The headtube is a particularly vulnerable area on a mountain bike, that’s why Cube have built test rigs which put a realistic load on the headtube to simulate braking, jumps and rocky descents with the headtube having to endure 50,000 of these cycles without damage before a model can be released for production.
Cube Bikes: Range Overview
When you first look at the Cube bikes range, its easy to get lost in understanding the key difference between the latest models. Hopefully we can answer any questions about the range here:
Reaction Hybrid
If there's somewhere the Reaction Hybrid cannot go, we haven't come across it yet. The Reaction Hybrid blends agility with easy handling along with the power and smooth integration of the fourth generation of Bosch's drive unit. For 2022 the Reaction Hybrid is available in both a traditional gents frame and also a trapeze frame with a lower top tube for easier access option without compromising performance.
Decisions, Decisions…
Hopefully, you will now have a good idea which bikes within the range will best suit your riding best. The next step is to take a look at the different variants of the model to find which will work best for you.
