What is the Key Technology behind the latest models?

Three key technologies that Mondraker have pioneered that give their bikes a truly distinct feel; the Zero Suspension System which runs on the Full Suspension models, Forward Geometry and Stealth Carbon.

ZERO SUSPENSION

 

Mondraker have pioneered longer top tubes and shorter stems which has been copied by other manufactures which is now seen as a benchmark in Mountain Bike design. Forward Geometry gives a more reactive and direct handling bike that has more uphill precision and more stability in technical and rough terrain which increases confidence and speed. • Zero energy loss. Great pedaling efficiency. The power applied to the pedals is transformed into immediate advance without producing an extra compression or extension movement in the shock absorber.

• Zero interference with pedaling. The chain stretch is minimal and imperceptible throughout the rear suspension travel, achieving the most effective pedaling efficiency possible.

• Zero interaction with braking. The rear brake forces do not interact against the rear suspension forces. The rear shock offers a smooth and absorbent operation without any stiffening caused by the action of the rear brake.

• Zero potholes. The most outstanding feature of the system is its excellent smoothness and absorption capacity on bumpy terrain and a completely stable suspension when pedaling.

 

In addition, The Zero suspension linkage has been optimised for e-Bike platforms. Less chain stretch produced by rear suspension movement, kinematic optimization that keeps the trajectory of the virtual pivot point more stable in suspension movement, a significant increase in initial operating sensitivity as well as capacity of global absorption of the rear suspension, and a more progressive behaviour that allows a more controlled and stable driving -with less sinking- on climbs and a perfect use of the entire suspension travel on descents, avoiding unexpected stops. This new generation kinematics is present in all Mondraker full suspension electric bike models and represents a major performance evolution and a new experience of extraordinary enjoyment of a Mondraker e-MTB electric bike. 

The benefits of optimisation on ebikes:

• More neutral rear suspension: Less chain stretch produced by rear suspension movement without influencing rear brake action.

• More stable virtual pivot point trajectory: Kinematic optimization that keeps the virtual pivot point trajectory more stable throughout the rear suspension travel. 

• Greater initial sensitivity and progressivity: Smoother and more responsive initial rear suspension behavior that improves traction and comfort against all types of impacts, as well as greater overall progressivity that allows a firmer and more stable ride on climbs, with the perfect Taking advantage of the entire suspension travel on descents, avoiding unexpected stops, ideal on any e-MTB bike according to its greater weight. 

 

STEALTH CARBON

 

Mondraker is constantly developing their Stealth Carbon with emphasis on maximum quality, minimum weight and strength requirements. Carbon fibre layers have been layered up for each model to result in a frame that has the best strength/rigidity/trail buzz absorption/lightness ratio. Mondraker carbon fibre frames are renowned for their unique look and exceptional reliability

 

MIND TELEMETRY SYSTEM

 

This telemetry system offers us valuable information regarding the performance of the suspensions and the route we pedal at each outing: from how to adjust the SAG to get the most out of your bike, to real performance (detailed time data from the route, total distance, average speeds ...), along with other parameters such as the jumps, length and time in the air of each jump, maximum suspension travels obtained in front and rear. No more adjusting the suspensions of your bike for sensations. Now with MIND you can do it in a simple and optimal way whatever your level of driving and qualities as a rider.
MIND connects with the myMondraker app via Bluetooth connection for data transfer, recording of each ride and settings. Thanks to myMondraker you will be able to check if you were faster or slower in that complicated section of your favourite trail and with quick links to the most popular social networks such as Strava where you can share your activities.
